When respected financial minds like Mohamed El-Erian say that a particular type of investment should occupy a 10% allocation in your portfolio, it's probably worth listening. When the recommendation is an investment that most investors probably don't have a single dime in, then it's probably worth considering even more.


The investment in question is private equity. There's probably a reason that most people don't have private equity in their portfolio.
