Most people don't dive into emerging markets investments looking for dividend income, but that doesn't mean there aren't options out there for it. In fact, there are a few out there that pay downright juicy yields. Emerging markets although risky by themselves make for great diversification tools in a broader portfolio. Add a sizeable yield to go along with it and suddenly you've got an interesting investment option.
As you can imagine though, the universe of dividend focused emerging markets ETFs is pretty small. Some are very tiny and/or very thinly traded, so for the purpose of this exercise I'm going to focus on ones that have sizeable asset bases, a reasonable degree of liquidity and a generous dividend. In addition, I'm going to examine management style and expenses in order to try to identify the best of the bunch.
