Global X Adds A ‘Super’ REIT ETF To Its Lineup

Global X is an investment firm that manages a total of 43 largely sector- or country-specific ETFs and is primarily known for its billion dollar SuperDividend ETF (NYSEARCA:SDIV). Earlier this month, Global X returned to the "super dividend" management concept by launching the Global X SuperDividend REIT ETF (NASDAQ:SRET).

The "super dividend" investing style maintains that the ETF looks to track the performance of a portfolio of securities that rank among the highest yielding within the chosen sector - in this case, global REITs - while excluding those that have historically exhibited the highest risk. While the focus of the fund is to look for the highest yielding REITs around the world, 76% of the fund's assets are currently invested in the United States making it a relatively poor global diversifier currently. 10% is invested in Canada with another 10% in Australia.
